What is the Norfolk Superhero?
Held annually at the stunning Burnham Overy Staithe when the tides are just right, the Norfolk Superhero is a charity quadrathlon that has grown from a small band of friends into a 200-strong community of competitors, volunteers, and supporters, all coming together for one epic challenge and one brilliant cause.
This year's event takes place on Saturday 20th June 2026 and the challenge is every bit as gruelling as it sounds:
🏊 Swim 1 mile from Gun Hill to the hard at Burnham Overy Staithe with the incoming tide🛶 Kayak a 4 mile course through the creeks🚴 Cycle a 45 mile circular route on North Norfolk's most scenic roads🏃 Run 8 miles across tracks, sand, and mud to the finish
All in teams of two. All for charity. And all done with the famous Norfolk Superhero spirit quirky, competitive, and completely brilliant.
Since its inception the event has raised over £1.34 million for Norfolk based charities. This year all participants are raising money for the Norfolk Community Foundation to help get children active in Norfolk. Every single penny counts.

Representing OCHSNER | Wärmetek in the 2026 challenge are our very own Gary Chamberlain and his teammate Paul taking on all four disciplines together on what promises to be an unforgettable day on the North Norfolk coast.
Gary works tirelessly every day designing and delivering some of the most complex and rewarding heat pump installations in the country. He is equally at home in a plant room, on a rooftop in central London, or apparently - swimming a mile through a Norfolk creek, kayaking four miles, cycling 45 miles, and running 8 miles across sand and mud.
The man is, quite literally, a superhero. 🦸♂️

About the Norfolk Superhero
The event is a remarkable celebration of teamwork, community, and the Norfolk spirit. Nobody takes themselves too seriously, everyone has their own reason for taking part, and at the end of it all, competitors and supporters come together for dinner and dancing to celebrate an extraordinary day.
